Caleb is the result of an experiment known as PROJECT BLUE MONARCH. A project in trying to create life from scratch by combining biology and tech. Caleb himself doesn't like to aknowledge what he is, and prefers to try to seem "normal" like his fellow subjects. Caleb is often viewed as the GATEWAY's greatest achivement, however his somewhat cowardly personality and complete dependance on the GATEWAY having never known anything else means that when he accidentally ends up on the wrong side of Laine's newly discovered weird portal doors, he doesn't exactly adjust well to suddenly being stuck in the outside world.

Personality:
Caleb is an incredibly nervous and shy person. he has all the backbone and resiliance of a small kitten in a bathtub. that is to say, exactly none. Caleb much prefers to remain safe and protected within the walls of the Laboratory regardless of how poorly him or any other subject may be treated. however, deep down there is likely more to Caleb, he just needs to find the confidence to express that.
